Financial Accountant

 Concord Well Servicing is currently recruiting a Financial Accountant to be based out of our Acheson West facility.  Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this person is a key member of the business services team, providing support to the Fleet Support department.

The financial accountant will have the primary responsibilities of:

·         Assisting with the implementation of IFRS requirements, primarily with Fixed Assets.

·         Maintaining the company’s fixed asset and inventory records, including following the new IFRS requirements.

·         Assisting in monthend processes and ensuring all monthend reporting deadlines are met.

·         Training, coaching, and providing system support for the Fleet support team regarding financial matters.

·         Maintaining the job costing requirements for the manufacturing division, including set-up, billing, troubleshooting and reporting. 

·         Aiding in the implementation of new systems and providing support to the fleet support team, including team leads and shop personnel.

·         Assist with various financial duties including budgeting, business case preparation, ad hoc analysis, etc. for Hialta Energy Services, a subsidiary company.

·         Additional tasks as required.

 This individual should be confident in their abilities and possess strong leadership skills to help their group of people grow and develop.  A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with others while building strong relationships with all levels of the organization.  In addition, the successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, good judgment, a high level of problem-solving and pays close attention to detail. 

This person must possess a business degree with a major in accounting or finance and minimum of 2 years experience is required.  Preference will be given to candidates who are currently enrolled in an accounting designation program.  Exposure to Great Plains accounting software is an asset, but not required.
