Fleet Support Services
“Concord Well Servicing sets the highest standards in Fleet Support Services. Upon completion, all rigs are fully inspected and certified before being returned to the field. The result is top-notch equipment- allowing us to give our clients the best service in the industry.”
-Bruce Konowalyk, Director, Fleet Support Services
The entire team at the Fleet Support Centre is committed to providing exceptional service to field crews, ensuring the equipment they use is safe and reliable. Concord is proud to have some of the best people in the business striving towards continually improving our equipment, our processes and our people.
Building a Better Product
By 1997, the Concord fleet had grown to 19 rigs and a decision was made to refit our equipment in house. Prior to that, third party shops were used with varying degrees of success. We knew we could build a better product and save a little money at the same time.
1998 marked the opening of a 10,000 square foot facility in Acheson, Alberta. In 2001, we acquired 19 more rigs and subsequently the shop had to be expanded another 10,000 square feet. In 2003 we saw 14 more rigs and in 2006, we acquired 86 more rigs, bringing our total to 140 active rigs. Additional space was required once again to maintain the expanded fleet so in 2007 Concord built a state of the art 32,000 sq ft manufacturing and repair and recertification facility just down the road from our original facility in Acheson.

A Process of Excellence
The refitting process begins by stripping a rig down and starting with a new frame. Employing the most modern techniques, including x-ray, our mechanics and fabricators evaluate the structural integrity of each component. The drive trains are given the latest in technology and safety devices. Our equipment is retrofitted with components meeting and or exceeding stringent environmental emission requirements while maintaining fuel efficiencies. Our goal of “0” downtime in the field starts at the Fleet Support Centre.
