Our Goal: Zero Injuries in 2007 - Concord Well Servicing's Safety Stand Down Program. - 02/27/07

Being safe is a choice.  The Safety Stand Down Program at Concord Well Servicing is in full swing and the goal for each Concord employee is to remain safe and injury-free.  The program encourages us to discuss how we can make our worksite safer and it's a chance for rig crew members to speak freely about safety issues.  It is also an excellent opportunity for Concord to prove to the customer that our safety standards are not just lip service.  Combining the best rig crews with the most advanced safety training in the industry, Concord Well Servicing is well on it's way to a zero injury record.  By adding the Safety Stand Down Program, we commit ourselves to creating the safest work place possible.

Concord and Advanced Measurements develop Prophet System - 09/15/06

Concord rig crews are going to have an extra set of eyes at work in the near future.  Advanced Measurements Inc. is collaborating with Concord to develop the Prophet automated rig information and safety system.  This system combines state of the art data acquisition and advanced safety control systems which gather information from everywhere around the rig. It then analyzes the data and sends it to drillers, rig managers and consultants so they can use it.  “We have the ability to be the first out the door with this and lead the industry verses following somebody else.  That’s where we want to be,” says Operations Team Leader, Steve Flood.  “Once crew training is completed, it will make things safer and save time for rig crews.”
Prophet is already being marketed to the industry, but according to Concord’s Brad Gaulin, Gordon Vivian had the foresight to put Concord at the helm of the project before the competition.  “The only way to improve is to get better information for our crews.  Gordon had the intuition to see that this could give us the tools we need for continuous improvement.” Brad says using technology to make a difference in our business and making it deliver the most value for the Concord team is an exciting opportunity.  Steve has been working on the project since July 2005.  “The fact that I have an excellent operations team behind me means I’ve been able to keep my day to day duties going--allowing me to do this,” he says.

Concord Well Servicing third largest in Canada - - 06/02/06

Summer 2006 marked the beginning of a bigger and better team at Concord. Our rig numbers jumped from 53 to 140 when the Grizzly/Hi-West and Poncho Well Servicing group joined forces with us to make us the third largest in Canada.  Leading the industry in workplace safety, we have also been acknowledged by the Alberta Worker’s Compensation Board for a considerably lower injury rate than average in the industry. As we welcome our new staff members and integrate them with the existing teams, Concord looks forward to a successful and prosperous future!
